- This badge is 2cm high and is in good condition. Depicting the Vostok 3 spacecraft blasting into space, the red flames from the exhaust contain the Russian hammer and sickle motif exactly as it appeared on the astronauts suit. The golden rocket has a red Soviet star on the side and to either side are motion lines, giving the rocket the impression of velocity. The text BOCTOK-3 is written below, which is Russian for Vostok-3 .The badge has a safety clasp fastener to the rear.

Vostok 3 and Vostok 4 were launched a day apart, and together these missions marked the first time that more than one manned spacecraft was in orbit at the same time, giving Soviet mission controllers the opportunity of learning how to manage this scenario.

Vostok 3 also conducted several scientific observations and furthered improved spacecraft to ground-control and inter spacecraft communication tecniques.
Vostok 3 would also record the first ever colour film footage of the Earth from space.
