Product Description : Vintage Vostok 1 Rocket All Russian Exhibition Centre BAHX Space Pin Badge - A pretty pin badge from the former Soviet Union.
The badge face is 2.3cm high and has a safety clasp style fastener to the rear. The badge itself is made from a gold coloured metal and features Vostok launching the first man into space.
This is a souvenier pin from the All Russia Exhibition Centre in Moscow. The centre was a showcase for socialism and in the 1960's it was apparent that Russia really was a world leader in some new technologies. The centre still exists today and is a proud testament to the innovative Russian people.
