- This is a pretty gold coloured metal pin badge from the Czechoslovak May Day celebrations.
- The badge has a safety clasp style fastener and is 2.4cm wide.
- Featuring a bold red flag with a star atop the pole and the text 1 Maj.
- May day parades are still held to this day in The Czech Republic, they have always been based around the welcoming of springtime after the long, cold winter. Typically youth groups and fraternal organisations would parade down the streets along a specified route. Trade unions and the military would also march the route bearing banners and flags and to this day it is quite a spectacle.
