Vintage Tesla Cinephon TK-4 16mm 35mm Movie Animation Camera Pin Badge

 
This camera was used to create films on classic 35 mm wide material and additionally allowed shooting in 16 mm news format. The camera could also be controlled remotely. This type of camera was specially adapted for trick creation, so it allows, for example, the exposure of individual images. This is essential for making animated films. The animator created the scene, took one frame of film with the camera, then slightly adjusted the scene, removed another frame, etc., until the entire moving animated frame was finished. You can imagine how extremely laborious the creation of animated films is. Today, digital technology makes it easier for creators, but some continue to devote themselves to traditional handicrafts.

This particular piece was used in Czechoslovak Television in the creation of animated bedtime stories.
