  Historical Background

  TAZ was a Slovak car manufacturer based in Trnava. Manufacturing vehicles based on the Skoda 1203 commercial vehicle from 1973 until 1999. Originally the vehicles bore the Skoda brand, later Skoda TAZ and since 1993 only TAZ.
