A gold coloured metal, award insignia from the army of the Soviet Union. The badge face reads 'Outstanding Soldier' and has a 4.5cm high badge face and a safety clasp style fastener to the rear.
This is the newer version (1970's / 1980's) made from a lighter weight metal.
