A pretty, gold coloured metal pin badge advertising Sabena, Belgian Airlines.
The badge face is 2.2cm wide and has a long, stick pin fastener.
There are 3 types of Sabena logos. This one appears to be Sabena before it became Royal Sabena and makes it the earliest of the logos.
The golden star indicates the territory of Belgian Congo and the Sabena colours are basically the Congolese flag (far right picture) with a blue triangle over it.
Belgian Congo became the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1960 and the star was dropped from the Sabena flag. So this predates Congolese independence and also predates the carrier being recognised as Royal Sabena in the 1950's.
