Vintage International Women's Day MDZ Slovenia White Flower 8 March Pin Badge

A gold coloured metal pin badge with a 1.7cm high badge face and a long stick pin style fastener to the rear. It depicts a woman's head and the date 8 MAREC (March)

This is an historic pin badge from the International Women's Day of Slovenia.

The first International Women's days were held at the beginning of the 20th century. They are still observed in Europe, but seem to have been replaced by Mother's Day in the UK and the USA; which precludes Women who have not had children.

The MDZ celebration focuses on general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women for their economic, political and social achievements.
The official celebration day is March 8th.
