  The badge face is 2.1cm high and has a stick pin style fastener to the rear. Featuring laurel leaves and the slogan BEREIT ZUR ARBEIT UND ZUR VERTEIDIGUNG DER HEIMAT meaning ready to work and to defend the homeland.

  Historical Background

  The DSA was an East German, government organisation administering sports events for both adults and children. The organisation existed up until 1990.
