• This badge is from the DTSB Sportleistungsabzeichen the former East German sports association. it is made of a silver coloured metal.

  The badge face is 2cm wide and has a safety clasp style pin fastener to the rear and has a hanging number 3.

  This is the 6th version of these pins that were in circulation between 1976 and 1990.

  Historical Background

  The DTSB was a mass sports organization of former East Germany, founded in 1950 it became the governing body for all sports in former East Germany and was involved in grass roots sporting events for children in schools.
