- This is a pretty metal pin badge from the May day celebrations in former Czechoslovakia. Featuring a red flag and lime tree leaf, the national symbol of Czechoslovakia, above is the date May 1st on a red socialist flag.
- The badge has a long stick pin style fastener and is 1.8cm high.
- May day parades are still held to this day in The Czech Republic, they have always been based around the welcoming of springtime after the long, cold winter. Typically youth groups and fraternal organisations would parade down the streets along a specified route. Trade unions and the military would also march the route bearing banners and flags and to this day it is quite a spectacle.
