- This is a pretty gold coloured metal pin badge from the Czechoslovak May Day celebrations.
- The badge has a long, stick pin style fastener and is 2.4cm wide.
- Featuring a bold red flag with a star atop the pole and the text 1 Maj.
- Interestingly, after 1955 Czechoslovakia switched from metal badge designs that featured the date on them, to generic badges with a red ribbon that featured the date. This way the badges could be reused the following year and only the ribbons needed to be produced.
- Very occasionally you come across a mayday badge from this period with the ribbon still attached.
