- A gold metal pin badge, the face is 2.7cm wide and a safety clasp style pin fastener to the rear. Dating from the 1950's and featuring the CSM logo and the text STAVBA MLÁDEŽE • BUDOVATELŮ SOCIALISMU", which translates to "Youth Construction Work • Builders of Socialism.
- This badge was specifically awarded to young volunteers ("svazáci") who participated in major state-sponsored post-WWII reconstruction and building initiatives, known as "Stavby mládeže" (Youth Construction Projects). These included building railways (like the famous Trať mládeže), dams, factories, and industrial towns.
- The CSM or UNION OF CZECH YOUTH was a component of the National Front and was subject to the direct control of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, while other youth organizations were liquidated. The main goal of the union was to influence the youth ideologically and to promote the policies of the ruling party, and its press organ became the Mladá fronta publishing house. At the first congress of the CSM, which began on June 7, 1950 in the Vinohrady Sokol Hall in Prague, an organizational code was adopted
