• A pretty, antique pin badge from Zetor the very successful Czech tractor works, who are still making tractors today. This badge features a classic tractor logo.

  The badge face is 2.1cm wide and has a long, stick pin style fastener to the rear. The badge itself is made from a gold coloured metal.

  Historical Background

  After world war 2 The weapons factories of Czechoslovakia turned to tractor manufacture.

  Agriculture was fast becoming mechanised and tractor output was at an all time high. By the 1960's Zetor had over 20 types of tractor available and were in their production heydays.

  Zetor were quick to introduce new innovations such as front wheel drive, enclosed cab spaces and 4-stroke diesel engines. Mass production kept unit costs low and they were exported throughout the world. There is an excellent history of Zetor at Zetor world.
