The pin is made from a hard resin like material and has a stick pin style fastener to the rear and is 1.6cm high. The text on the pin says 'Santos SFC' and is a collectable supporters pin from Santos FC
The badge is made of a plastic resin, which would point to a 1950's manufacturing process. In the Early 1950's in Czechoslovakia badges were increasingly made from plastic for a number of reasons. Firstly Europe had just emerged from World war and metals were not as readily available as in the past and secondly, plastics were the 'new' wonder material, hard wearing and readily moulded into any shape.
But by the 1960's badge manufacturers had moved back to manufacturing with metals and baked enamels.
