A pretty copper coloured metal badge with a 2cm high badge face and a safety clasp style fastener to the rear. This is a National Front Workers pin badge from former Berlin in East Germany, featuring the bear, the emblem of Berlin, carrying a shovel.
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The National integration ( NAW ) of the GDR, founded in November 1951, was originally intended to implement projects in the capital and was leter extended to the whole country.
NAW workers were voluntary and took part in a collective rebuilding of Eastern Germany.
