• MOGURT - Magyar Orszagos Gepkocsi Uzemi Reszvenytarsasag was a company created after WW2 to dispose of vehicles damaged during the war. After the communist takeover of Hungary it was transformed into a state owned company responsible for the import and export of all motorised vehicles and spare parts. The organisation would also approve Hungarian manufactured vehicles and the mogurt logo would appear on all brochures and marketing material.

  After the fall of communism and the opening up of free trade mogurt ceased to exist

  The pin is made from gold coloured metal with baked, enameled inserts and I would estimate, according to the manufacturing style to be from the 1960s. It has a stick pin fastener and is approximately 2.5cm wide. The pin face features the mogurt logo.
