  • A pretty, Komsomol pin badge, 2cm wide, made of a gold coloured heavy metal, possibly brass and featuring a superbly detailed Lenin head over the Komsomol Initials with a clasp style safety clasp to the rear.
  • These pins are made in the 1980's and are duplicates of the heavier, gold metal, 1950's ones. (I think the USSR was running into cost issues with the brass and enamel badges).
  • It is a komsomol member's badge, to be worn on a uniform. You can see the logo in use at the 1990 Komsomol conference below.
