  Historical Background

  CAZ were the Ceskoslovensko Automobilovy Zavod, or the 'Motorcar Companies of Czechoslovakia'.
  They were the governing body of all motor industry in former Czechoslovakia. Dictating the types of cars that were to be produced and granting funding where neccesary.

  They also were instrumental in coordinating deals with foreign, non-communist, states where some degree of cooperation was necessary; such as with Fiat or Ford.
