Antique State Fisheries Moravice Czechoslovakia Leaping Trout Fish Pin Badge
- An antique gold coloured metal hunting themed pin from former Czechoslovakia, it is 1.7cm high and has a long, stick pin style fastener to the rear. Featuring the text Povodi Maravice, it would have been worn by members of fisheries management team of Moravice.
Historical Background In Czechoslovakia and in much of middle Europe; hunting and forestry have a rich tradition stretching back hundreds of years.Traditional hunting uniforms are still worn and age old customs observed. During the hunting season it is common to see hunting parties gathering in the early morning preparing for the daily hunt. The principal quarry are wild boars, deer, foxes, grouse and duck.
