• A gold coloured metal pin badge with a clear plastic overlay protecting the enamels underneath. Featuring a white dove and a red cross and the text 'Vzorny Darce Krve' meaning 'Excellent gifts of Blood'. This pin would have been awarded to blood donors that had given blood a number of times, the next badge stage was the blue one and then the only award higher that this is a medal that you attained after 50 years of regularly giving blood.

  The badge face is 1.8cm high and has a stick pin style fastener.

  The Czechoslovak Red Cross was formed in 1919 and became the CSCK (Czechoslovak State Cerveny (red) Kriz (cross) under socialism. Today it is the CCK (no longer a socialist state run organisation)
