This pin was manufactured for the 1980 summer Olympics in Moscow in the former Soviet Union.
The badge face is 2.5cm high and has a safety clasp style fastener to the rear. The badge is made from a light metal, probably aluminium and features the Olympic canoeing event.
These pin badges have a plastic outer shell glued to a metal backing that allows for greater detail than other pins from the Soviet Union at this time.
