This pin was manufactured for the 1980 summer Olympics in Moscow in the former Soviet Union.
The badge face is 3cm high and has a safety clasp style fastener to the rear. The badge is made from a light metal, probably aluminium and features the Olympic pentathlon event.
The text reads Moscow 80 XXII 22nd Olympics on a shield shaped badge. The insert section looks a little like a gold medal.
