This pennant flag was manufactured for the Boxing Championships in the Czechoslovak city of Usti nad Labem. The flag face is 22cm and enclosed within a clear plastic sheath that has lept it in tip top condition over the years.
It is made from a fine weave, silk-like material and is side stitched with a yellow cord hanging string.
The flag features the sporting crest of boxing club Red Star Usti nad Labem and has the text GRAND PRIX CTY of USTI nad LABEM BOXING 10th ANNUAL 1979.

Historical Information
Czech boxing began after world war one and found a home in Usti nad Labem, an industrial and coal mining city bordering East Germany. The Czech championships have been held since 1969 and continue to do so in Usti.
