    • A golden coloured metal and enamel pin badge made in 1979 to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Mlada Boleslav Skoda works (AZNP), who manufactured their first car back in 1905, the L&K Voiturette A

      The badge face is 2cm high and has a long, stick pin fastener.

    • The text on the badge face features the slogan BRAVO SKODA. You can see the same logo in the poster below.

     

    • Skoda formed in 1859 as an armaments factory, produced their first Skoda branded car in 1905

      Skoda produced modern cars up until the communist coup in 1948 whereupon they were largely cut off from Western markets. The 1960's onwards saw a range of production cars that were based on outdated designs.

      Since the 1990's Skoda has been transformed by its partnership with VW of Germany into a very successful automotive company. Sales in 1991 were around 170 thousand new cars and in 2010 were 760 thousand.
