• This is a very unusual Svazarm pin badge, it is 1.6cm wide and has a long, stick pin style fastener to the rear.

  This pin was issued for the 4th (IV Rocnik) Machinegun (Samopal) competition in 1976.

  It was issued by the Slovak division of the SSM, the SZM, who were a paramilitary youth group.

  The badge face features a machine gun and a gun target, so some shooting accuracy competition may have been a part of the event.
