- This is a rare gold coloured metal badge from the 1968 May Day celebrations in the town of Liptovsky Mikulas former Czechoslovakia. Featuring an overtly Nationalist Lime tree leaf May motif and the dates 1918-1968. (this was the year of Russian invasion)
- The badge has a long stick pin style fastener and is 1.9cm high.
- May day parades are still held to this day in The Czech Republic, they have always been based around the welcoming of springtime after the long, cold winter. Typically youth groups and fraternal organisations would parade down the streets along a specified route. Trade unions and the military would also march the route bearing banners and flags and to this day it is quite a spectacle.
