  Historical Background

  The inauugral flight of CSA was in 1923 between Prague and Bratislava. CSA are one of the oldest airlines in the world, 4th behind QANTAS, Mexicana and KLM. They persisted through socialism and made the difficult transition from communism to a free market society that so often destroyed other socialist managed companies.
