- This is a rare red coloured plastic badge from the Austrian May Day celebrations. Featuring the silver text 'KPO 1945 1955 1965'.
- The KPO is the Kommunistische Partei Österreichs
- The badge has a safety clasp style fastener and is 1.8cm wide.
- May day parades have always been based around the welcoming of springtime after the long, cold winter. Typically youth groups and fraternal organisations would parade down the streets along a specified route. Trade unions and the military would also march the route bearing banners and flags creating quite a spectacle.
