- A gold coloured metal badge with a 2.5cm wide badge face and a safety clasp style fastener to the rear.
Manufactured in 1964 to celebrate the launch of the Voskhod 1 rocket. The text at the foot of the badge reads VOSKHOD and displays the mission date 12 X 1964.
A stylised Voskhod 1 rocket is depicted to the left of the faces of the three cosmanauts.
Voskhod 1 was the seventh manned Soviet space flight. It achieved a number of "firsts" in the history of manned spaceflight, being the first space flight to carry more than one crewman into orbit and the first flight without the use of spacesuits.
