- A gold metal pin badge, the face is 2.4cm wide and a safety clasp style pin fastener to the rear. Dating from 1963 and featuring the text SJEZD CSM 18/21st April 1963
- It was issued to mark the IV. Sjezd ČSM (4th Congress of the Czechoslovak Youth Union), which took place from April 18 to April 21, 1963 (as indicated by the "18.-21.4" and "1963" text on the badge)
- The CSM or UNION OF CZECH YOUTH was a component of the National Front and was subject to the direct control of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, while other youth organizations were liquidated. The main goal of the union was to influence the youth ideologically and to promote the policies of the ruling party, and its press organ became the Mladá fronta publishing house. At the first congress of the CSM, which began on June 7, 1950 in the Vinohrady Sokol Hall in Prague, an organizational code was adopted
