• A rare pin badge from the former Soviet Union featuring the text FOR PEACE and MOSCOW- NEW YORK 1960.

  The badge face is 3cm wide and has a safety clasp style fastener to the rear. The badge itself is made from a gold coloured metal.

  It is a rare pin from the 1960 UN General Assembly in NYC where Khruschev arrived by sea on the newly comissioned Baltika. The meeting was televised and was a media sensation involving Kennedy, Khruschev and Fidel Castro a short year before the failed invasion of Cuba.
