  • This is a rare hand painted, plastic pin badge from the 1960 May Day celebrations in former Czechoslovakia. Featuring the Czech and Russian national flags and the date 1960.
  • The badge has a long stick pin style fastener and is 2.6cm high.
  • May day parades are still held to this day in The Czech Republic, they have always been based around the welcoming of springtime after the long, cold winter. Typically youth groups and fraternal organisations would parade down the streets along a specified route. Trade unions and the military would also march the route bearing banners and flags and to this day it is quite a spectacle.
