• A rare 1958 May day and Sputnik themed pin badge produced by East Germany in this year to mark the successful voyage of Sputnik 1.

  The badge face is 4cm at its longest part and has a safety clasp style fastener to the rear. The badge itself is made from a gold coloured metal, has a safety clasp fastener and features Sputnik over the blue Earth and the text 1st May 1958.
