- This is the earliest CSM pin dating from the formation meeting.
- The CSM was a component of the National Front and was subject to the direct control of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, while other youth organizations were liquidated. The main goal of the union was to influence the youth ideologically and to promote the policies of the ruling party, and its press organ became the Mladá fronta publishing house. At the first congress of the CSM, which began on June 7, 1950 in the Vinohrady Sokol Hall in Prague, an organizational code was adopted
