- The CSM or UNION OF CZECH YOUTH was a component of the National Front and was subject to the direct control of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, while other youth organizations were liquidated. The main goal of the union was to influence the youth ideologically and to promote the policies of the ruling party, and its press organ became the Mladá fronta publishing house.
