What's up with the badges ?
At the end of World War 2, when the world was split into East and West, the Eastern nations began to produce pin badges to advertise products, affiliations and to mark special occasions.
Badges collected in albums would last a lifetime.

1959 - Cuba Declares Independence
After a US-led trade embargo on Cuba, newly independent Cuba looks East to the Soviet Union to resupply a country fast running out of supplies. Thus creating a Soviet style island nation off the coast of Florida and leading directly to the Cuban Missile Crisis.

1957, and Czechoslovakia takes delivery of a brand new Tupolev 104 making Czech airlines the only Eastern state to operate a fully jet powered service. To celebrate, CSA issued special pin badges to the proud nation.
