Established in 1948 as the junior tier of the Hungarian Young Pioneer Movement, the group mobilized children aged six to ten to instill state civic values before they advanced to the senior pioneers. The traditional toy drum motif explicitly symbolizes the group's namesake and historical role, providing an exceptional material artifact into Eastern Bloc socialist youth organizations and communist-era propaganda, which you can explore further within our curated collections of Hungarian political history memorabilia and vintage socialist pioneer awards

https://shop.badgecrazy.com/products/vintage-hungary-kisdobos-little-drummers-pioneer-movement-communist-youth-pin-badge
